Q: What are walls that breathe and control humidity and how do they work?

A: ECOCARAT has many tiny holes, and in high humidity these absorb moisture.  When the air dries out, this moisture is released, avoiding both uncomfortable dampness and dryness.  This is 4-5 times more effective than silica. 

Q: ECOCARAT absorbs the components that cause smells in the living room, or other rooms; what happens to these smells?

A: ECOCARAT does not actually break down the smells instead, absorbed smells are slowly released into the air over time.  The speed at which these are released is slow, which means that it is unlikely that the smells will be noticed. 

Q: How is the effectiveness of ECOCARAT different from the moisture-absorbing agents and activated charcoal that are put in closets and so forth?

A: Moisture-absorbing agents that are put into closets absorb any moisture that is present, but eventually lose their effectiveness and must be discarded.  The extremely tiny holes in activated charcoal mean that it is more effective than ECOCARAT in absorbing moisture; however, the smaller size of the holes means that the absorbed moisture is not released, even if the surrounding air dries out.  ECOCARAT features holes that are sized to work with the relative humidity, and that have the capability of gently releasing this moisture to prevent dryness. 

Q: How big an area of ECOCARAT is necessary to reduce smells and adjust humidity in a room?

Q: How long does it take to remove the smell of cigarettes, pets and garbage?  It would be very helpful if there were some numerical values derived from experiments conducted in rooms in which the recommended quantities of ECOCARAT were applied.

Q: How does ECOCARAT absorb smells?

A: ECOCARAT absorbs smells and VOCs through chemical absorption.  Smells and VOCs form a chemical union with ions on the ECOCARAT surface.  Chemical absorption efficiently and quickly absorbs smells and VOCs, and releases them very slowly at very low levels.

Q: What is the maximum amount ECOCARAT can absorb?

A: 1. ECOCARAT can absorb a maximum of 9000mg/sqm.

     2. The functionality of ECOCARAT is maintained for approximately 43 years in

     a typical toilet.
